About This Interview

Jan Scott was interviewed for three-and-a-half hours in North Hollywood, CA.  Ms. Scott spoke about her early career working for NBC in Chicago and New York as a female art director.  While in New York, she worked on live shows including, Hallmark Hall of Fame, Kaiser Aluminum Hour and DuPont Show of the Week .  During the 1960's, Ms. Scott's many television movies including Sacco-Vanzetti-Story, Kismet , and the CBS production of Shadow Game , which she received her first Emmy award for art direction.  (Scott still holds the record for winning the most Emmys for art direction - which is eleven).  She maintains a busy schedule, working on several television movies a year.  The interview was conducted by Morrie Gelman on August 27, 1998.
